Reading Woman

And you wonder what interesting thing she is reading about?

Though I took classes in the fine arts in oils, acryllics, charcoal and water colour I can't say I know too much about art or art history, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it! Recently I was inspired to paint a picture for my home but it remains uncompleted due to the lack of time.

Anyhow, I was browsing around for new ideas and I found a few pieces of art that I really liked! I thought I'll share them with you. This is called the "Reading Woman". I've included information about the artist below.

Pierre Auguste Renoir (1841 - 1919) is an Impressionist enjoyed depicting his friends and lovers with expressive candor, conveying a youthful exuberance and intimate charm that suggests visions of an earthly paradise. By focusing on the ‘here and now’ of his time, these fleeting moments become relished nostalgic memories. Renoir’s portrayal of luminous color, skillfully varied brushstrokes, nuances of light and shadow all worked together to form a warm sensuality.

  1. Yes, Vincent van Gogh, and note:
Vincent only sold one painting during his lifetime and only became famous after his death. Nanny
